In the year 1972, fresh out of college, Barin gained employment under Krebs & Cie as a project engineer. It was here that he had the opportunity to work in BILT’s plant in places like Yamunagar in Ambala, Ballarshah(BILT Plant) and Karwar a place near Goa, and in Vizag (Hindustan Zinc)as commissioning engineer building his portfolio, gaining experience, and turning full throttle from student to hands-on professional.

In the year 1977, his journey then took him to ICICI where he joined as an Assistant Manager, was soon promoted to D.M, and in smooth succession, to Manager and then on to A.G.M. His challenge filled, achievement starred, and loyal tryst with ICICI lasted for 17years. 17 years later, in the year 1994, it was time for a new intriguing chapter in Barin’s life. A bright promising turn, the milestone called ISEC. It was at ISEC that Barin converted himself to a merchant banker and was made the Chief Operations, working in close association with J.P Morgan.

In 1998, Barin joined Allied Raisins and Chemicals as the Executive Director in Finance and from there he moved on to Shalimar Wires Industries Ltd, in the year 1999, where he stayed till 2006, in the capacity of Executive Director and Chief Executive Officer. The timing of his presence at Shalimar former was during the demerger of Swil Ltd., and it was here that he achieved a successful installation of loom and sewing machines in the company which he considers one of his biggest achievements in life

Between the year 2006 to 2008, he was the Advisor of Wires and Fabrics, and then in 2008, he moved on to LSI, where he has brought his lifelong expertise to looking after Debt Syndication,Merger Acquisition and Share Issues. The symbiotic
relationship he shares with the company, continues to blossom with the promise of more to come. He is currently adding to the enterprising endeavours of LSI as the Executive Director and multiplying his diverse experiences.
